Frequently asked questions

Does acupuncture hurt?

Acupuncture is generally not painful. Acupuncture needles are solid, flexible, and about the thickness of a human hair. Most patients feel only minimal discomfort or a slight tingling sensation. However, some points are more sensitive than others. We always check in with our patients during the session and make any changes if needed.

What types of acupuncture services do you offer?

Flow & Arrow Acupuncture offers traditional, ear, and SAAT acupuncture services tailored to meet individual health and wellness needs. We also offer microneedling and nanoneedling treatments, as well as complementary therapies such as cupping, guasha, moxibustion, and electrical stimulation.

Are the needles safe?

Yes. Sterile, disposable needles are used. They are used once and then disposed of immediately after use. All of our practitioners are certified in the Clean Needle Technique (CNT).

Do you accept insurance for acupuncture treatments?

No, we do not accept insurance at this time, but we will be happy to provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company.

How can acupuncture benefit my health?

Acupuncture can help relieve pain, reduce stress, improve sleep, and enhance overall well-being by balancing the body's energy flow.

What should I expect during my first visit?

During your first visit, a consultation will be conducted to assess your needs and develop a personalized treatment plan. We will then proceed with your first treatment!
